Stop Child Abuse
To Give Children their rights and treat them well.
Keep Our Night Sky Clean
Space is our next frontier, but it’s becoming a "galactic junkyard." Millions of pieces of space debris are orbiting Earth at dangerous speeds, threatening the satellites we rely on for GPS and weather. Most importantly, if we don't clean up now, we might lose the chance to study the universe's secrets—like black holes and gravitational waves—forever. I propose a "Global Space Cleanup Fund." Every country and company launching satellites must take responsibility for their waste and invest in "orbital cleaning" technology. Space should remain a place for peaceful discovery, not a danger zone. Let’s protect the future of our universe together!
Protect children in the AI era
[Overview] As we navigate the rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI), we are witnessing a profound transformation in human life. However, this progress also brings a widening 'Digital Divide' and the threat of 'Information Distortion.' To ensure that every child, regardless of their nationality or socio-economic status, can grow up in a safe digital environment with access to accurate information, I propose an immediate global commitment and solidarity for the future generation. [Current Challenges] 1. Accelerating Digital Education Inequality: Children in regions without basic internet access are being completely excluded from the benefits of AI-driven education, deepening the global inequality gap. 2. Bias and Distortion in AI Data: Due to biases in the data sets AI learns from, the history and culture of certain nations are being misrepresented. This can instill a distorted worldview in children during their most formative years. 3. Vulnerability to Cyber Threats: There is a lack of international guidelines to protect children’s rights and emotional well-being from AI-driven harms, such as deepfakes and generative misinformation. [Proposed Global Solutions] 1. Guaranteeing 'Universal Digital Rights' for Every Child International organizations and global tech companies must collaborate to ensure that every child has access to basic digital devices and educational AI services. We must ensure that technology serves as a 'ladder' for opportunity rather than a tool that widens the wealth gap. 2. Establishing 'Global AI Ethical and Data Standards' The international community must monitor AI to ensure it reflects the diverse histories and cultures of all nations accurately. We propose a global standard that mandates AI developers to train their models on culturally diverse data sets and take immediate corrective action against historical inaccuracies. 3. Building a 'Global Digital Safety Zone' for Children We must establish strict international legal standards to punish AI-driven crimes targeting children. This includes advancing filtering technologies to prevent exposure to harmful algorithms and promoting digital literacy education for parents and educators worldwide.
Global Climate Responsibility
Hello. I am Lee Yulgwan, a Korean member of the 14th VANK Digital Metaverse Diplomats. Today, the climate crisis is no longer a distant environmental issue—it is already our reality. Rising sea levels, extreme rainfall, and recurring droughts are directly threatening people’s homes and livelihoods, and in some regions, they are making it impossible to continue living there. According to the IPCC, as of 2020, about 11% of the world’s population—approximately 896 million people—live in low-lying coastal areas. These regions are highly vulnerable to climate change, clearly showing that the climate crisis is not just an environmental issue, but a matter of human survival. In Bangladesh, repeated flooding and heavy rainfall have caused widespread damage. In 2021 alone, around 197,416 people were forced to move into temporary shelters. This demonstrates that the climate crisis disproportionately affects the most vulnerable populations first. Low-lying island nations in the Pacific are also facing serious threats from rising sea levels. Fresh water shortages, land erosion, and the collapse of livelihoods are not only disrupting daily life but also threatening entire communities and cultures. Currently, the international community has established protection systems for refugees fleeing war or persecution, based on the 1951 Refugee Convention. However, there is still no clear and sufficient international framework to protect those who are displaced due to climate change. The International Organization for Migration has stated that there is no universally agreed legal definition of “climate migrants.” This highlights the reality that people who lose their homes due to climate change remain in a gap within international protection systems. Therefore, the international community must take the following actions. First, establish a global framework that formally recognizes and protects those affected and displaced by climate change. Second, ensure fair responsibility-sharing among nations by considering historical carbon emissions, and expand support from high-emission countries. Third, provide comprehensive support—including education, housing, and employment—to help affected populations relocate and rebuild their lives safely. Finally, address the root causes of the crisis through long-term efforts such as reducing carbon emissions and transitioning to renewable energy. The climate crisis is not the problem of a single nation—it is a shared global challenge that requires collective action. The decisions we make today will shape the lives and futures of countless people. We urge the international community to work together and take immediate action. Active participation in building an international framework to protect those displaced by climate change is essential. Solidarity and responsible action from all nations are crucial to protecting those who are losing their homes even at this very moment. The responsibility we ignore today will inevitably be passed on to future generations. Now is the time for the international community to act—together. We are VANK. We are Korea. This was Lee Yulgwan, a Korean member of the 14th VANK Digital Metaverse Diplomats.
Protect Our Tomorrow Together
Citizens of the world, and leaders of all nations, Many of you have probably looked out your windows recently and felt that the weather is not what it used to be. When we experience intense heatwaves or sudden heavy rain, it becomes clear that the climate crisis—once something we only saw on the news—is now part of our daily lives. Climate change is no longer a problem limited to certain regions. It is something we are all facing together across borders. The choices we make today will shape the world that the next generation will live in. This means that now is a very important moment for all of us. One of the most urgent tasks is to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and move toward renewable energy. We do not have much time to delay these changes for short-term convenience or economic reasons. Governments and companies need to take more responsibility and make steady progress toward this transition. At the same time, we should not overlook the regions that are being affected more severely by climate change. Even though we are facing the same global issue, the ability to respond is very different depending on the country. This is why fair support and international cooperation are essential. Individual actions also matter. Simple habits, such as reducing single-use plastics or saving energy, may seem small, but they can make a real difference when many people take part. We do not have to be perfect, but trying to make better choices in our daily lives is a meaningful start. We are the generation that is directly experiencing the effects of climate change, and we are also the generation that still has the chance to respond to it. This is not something any single country can solve alone. I hope people around the world can come together and take action to protect our shared future and our one and only Earth. Thank you. [Our Call to Action] I encourage global citizens, leaders, and corporations to take the following actions: 1. Accelerate the Energy Transition: Governments and companies should continue working toward reducing fossil fuel use and expanding renewable energy. 2. Support Vulnerable Regions: The international community should cooperate to provide fair support to countries that are more affected by climate change. 3. Commit to Everyday Climate Action: Individuals can contribute by adopting simple, sustainable habits in their daily lives.
Cultural Diversity Online
As digital technology reshapes how we communicate and share knowledge, it also influences which cultures are seen, heard, and remembered. While globalization has connected us in unprecedented ways, it has also accelerated the dominance of a few major languages and cultures, leaving many others at risk of disappearing. Today, algorithms on major platforms often prioritize widely consumed content, making it difficult for smaller or less commercial cultures to gain visibility. For example, indigenous languages are rarely represented in search engines or AI systems, and traditional cultural practices are often reduced to simplified or inaccurate portrayals. In some cases, cultural elements are used globally without proper context, such as traditional clothing or rituals being commercialized without understanding their meaning. At the same time, digital spaces hold powerful potential for preservation. Online archives, virtual museums, and community-driven platforms can help document endangered languages, oral histories, and local traditions. For instance, projects that digitize indigenous storytelling or create subtitles in underrepresented languages allow cultures to reach global audiences without losing authenticity. To address this issue, I call for coordinated global efforts to protect cultural diversity in the digital age. This includes supporting multilingual platforms, promoting inclusive algorithms, funding digital preservation projects, and ensuring ethical standards in the use of cultural content. Technology should not erase diversity, it should amplify it. Every culture carries unique knowledge, identity, and history that enrich our shared humanity. Let us work together to ensure that no culture is left behind in the digital world.
A Call to Unite Against the Climate Crisis
Hello, I am speaking as one of many global citizens who care about the future of our planet. Today, the Earth is getting warmer. Extreme weather such as heatwaves, floods, and wildfires is happening more often and becoming more severe. This is not just one country’s problem—it is affecting people all around the world. However, the climate crisis cannot be solved by one country alone. Even if one nation reduces carbon emissions, it will not be enough if others do not take action. That is why what we need now is not competition, but cooperation. Therefore, I would like to ask the international community to take the following actions: First, all countries should set stronger goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and take real steps to achieve them. Promises alone are not enough—we need clear and realistic actions. Second, countries with more resources should support developing countries by providing technology and financial aid to help them respond to the climate crisis. Since this is a global problem, it requires a shared solution. Third, companies and individuals also have a role to play. By using clean energy, saving resources, and making sustainable choices, everyone can be part of the change. We already know the problem. Now is the time to act. The decisions we make today will shape the lives of future generations. Through this petition, I hope that governments, businesses, and citizens around the world will work together. Small actions, when combined, can make a big difference for our planet. Thank you.
Stop the War, Choose Peace
I write this appeal thinking of the countless people who are suffering from war and armed conflict at this very moment. Today, violent conflicts continue to tear the world apart. The war in Ukraine has dragged on for over three years. In February 2026, the United States and Israel launched airstrikes on Iran, igniting a new war that has already claimed hundreds of civilian lives. Missiles have struck the streets of Tehran. Schools and hospitals have been bombed. A single airstrike killed over 100 elementary school children. The conflict has escalated to include the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, threatening the global economy and pushing the entire world toward further instability. War is not merely a political dispute — it is the reality of children who have lost their homes, families torn apart, and young people robbed of their futures. No justification can make this suffering acceptable. I. What War Leaves Behind War does not only claim lives. It destroys in a single day what took decades to build. Cultural heritage, schools, hospitals, and entire communities are reduced to rubble. Millions are forced to flee their homes. Even after the guns fall silent, the wounds of war remain for generations: children growing up with trauma, cities that never fully rebuild, and cycles of hatred passed down through families. The Iran conflict alone has already damaged over 6,000 civilian facilities within days of its outbreak. This is the world we are living in right now. II. A Call to World Leaders As UN Secretary-General, I urge all heads of state and leaders of the international community to act immediately. First, cease all armed hostilities now and come to the negotiating table. Nuclear issues and regional power struggles must be resolved through diplomacy, not destruction. History has proven that only dialogue creates lasting peace. Second, open humanitarian corridors without delay and place the protection of civilians above all else. Schools and hospitals must never be targets. The protection of children, women, the elderly, and the wounded is non-negotiable under any circumstance. Third, dramatically expand international support for refugees and displaced persons. Those who have fled conflict zones are not statistics — they are human beings with dreams, families, and stories. The international community must stand together to protect their dignity and their lives. Fourth, invest in peace education for the next generation. Wars begin with hatred, prejudice, and the refusal to see the other as human. Teaching the values of peace and coexistence in schools around the world is the most fundamental form of conflict prevention. III. To Every Citizen of the World Peace is not made only by politicians. Every ordinary citizen who raises their voice against war is an agent of peace. By signing this petition, you are showing the world that you choose peace over war. Peace is a choice. And that choice begins here, and now. Please sign and share this petition.
Global Call for New Tech Security
In 2026, humanity is witnessing rapid advancements in "emerging technologies," such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), quantum computing, and autonomous weapon systems. However, behind the benefits of this progress, we face unprecedented security threats. Existing international laws and regulations are struggling to keep pace with the speed of technological change, leaving us vulnerable to potential disasters. [Key Objectives of the Petition] 1. Establish Strict International Regulations on Lethal Autonomous Weapon Systems (LAWS) The rise of "killer robots"—machines that make life-and-death decisions without meaningful human intervention—is testing the moral limits of humanity. We strongly demand an immediate halt to the reckless development and deployment of autonomous weapons with unclear accountability, and call for a concrete international treaty to control them. 2. Prevent Cognitive Warfare Using Deepfakes and Generative AI The spread of misinformation and manipulation of public opinion using technology is an "invisible war" that undermines democracy and social trust. The international community must standardize systems for verifying digital content and establish ethical guidelines for cyberspace through global cooperation. 3. Bridge the Tech Gap and Strengthen Global Cyber Resilience Emerging security threats are not limited to a single nation. Cyberattacks and supply chain disruptions cause global chain reactions. We urge international support for technology sharing so that the gap between advanced and developing nations can be closed, ensuring all countries can access secure infrastructure, such as post-quantum cryptography. Security is no longer confined to defending physical territory. We hope that emerging technologies remain tools for shared prosperity rather than weapons leading to destruction. The international community must immediately build a governance system for new security threats and guarantee a safe digital environment for future generations. We strongly call for immediate and practical action from the international community.
